First International friendly

One of the better games this season at the Polo Grounds, sadly played under horrible weather conditions. Though we were dominated for pretty much most of the match, the Madhatters 06 held their own and for a change kept the score reasonably close, something we haven't done in a while. Impressed by the Madhatters 06 creative play tactic, probably one of the reasons for why the match was so close. Hopefully they'll use this match tactic again in future. A crowd of 143 braved the miserable weather at the Polo Grounds to watch their first international friendly against the Mighty Diamonds. Madhatters 06 changed their style a little today by playing a 3-5-2 formation with a creative play tactic. The Diamonds as well opted for the 3-5-2 formation but decided to play normal tactic. The Diamonds dominated the match with a 79% ball possession. Both squads earned yellow cards; Etienne Bouchut of the Diamonds received one for complaining while Robert Giordano of the Madhatters 06 was carded for a dangerous tackle. Costly match for the Madhatters 06

Star central defender Tom Seddouqui receives two yellow cards, one in the 9th and second in the 65th minute of play. Madhatters 06 are down to ten men for the remainder of their match against the Bullets, they will also be without their star central defender's services for their upcoming match. Again an offense-less match for the Madhatters 06 they can't seem to get into the scoring groove. Hopefully better things to come. Out of national cup

Away match, new formation, secondary squad and new tactic, makes for a lethal combination of losing a match and of course the elimination from cup play. A match full of confusion and yellow cards. No need to go any further in cup play, it will only get worse. Madhatters 06 will need much more training before any improvement will be seen. Master and servant at the Polo Grounds

New team logo and name not enough as Madhatters 06 lose season opener in grand fashion to their Cross-town rivals Eperviers. Funny team uniforms

Not much to write about today's friendly. Weather was crummy. The only two things sadder than the weather were the funny team uniforms the Madhatters 06 chose to wear, (looking forward to the new team uniforms), and the fact that only 145 fans turned out to watch the Madhatters 06 get walloped by NK Vrhovac 5-0. 4-5-1 formation of the day

A damp and miserable day at the Polo Grounds probably the worst kind of weather to play a new formation.
