First victory, first cup match
The FC Madhatters 06 visited the unmanaged Toronto Minors today for their first national cup match. The Madhatters 06 supporters club known as the Tophatter's came away ecstatic as they witnessed their clubs first ever victory. This victory advances the Madhatters 06 to the second round of the national cup to be played next Wednesday. A crowd of 5628 turned up at Toronto Park to watch the first round of the national cup match between the home club Toronto Minors and the Madhatters 06. The Madhatters 06 used the usual 4-5-1 formation with attacking on wing's as their match tactic. While the Minors used a 4-4-2 formation with normal tactics. The Madhatters 06 dominated the match with 72% of ball possession. Jeff Edwards of the Minors was the only penalized player of the match, receiving a yellow card for a viscous tackle. The Madhatters won the match by a score of 3-0. The scorer's for the Madhatters 06 were Mierko De Leon and Phillippe Emmanuel Masse with a pair.
