Victory at the Polo Grounds!!

Finally a victory at the Polo Grounds! Labeled the battle of the cellar dwellers. It turned out to be a close one. The Rangers managed by an interim manager put up a good fight leveling the score at one midway in the second half, prior to allowing the Madhatters 06 the final goal of the match late in the second. Though, not impressed, after six weeks of matches including exhibitions, I expected more from the squad. However, pleased with the squad's tactical performance of attacking in the middle, it seemed to work well, nonetheless more training is needed. All in all, the Madhatters 06 will savor this short-lived victory, as they face the Brick in next weekend's league match. On this beautiful day a crowd of only 4821 showed up at the Polo Grounds to watch their Madhatters 06 host the Coquitlam Rangers. Madhatters 06 played their usual 4-5-1 formation with attacking in the middle as their match tactic. The Rangers opted for the 3-4-3 formation with normal tactic. The Madhatters 06 held possession for 77% of the match. Yellow cards went to the Madhatters 06 Ivan Sesma for diving, while the Rangers Jeremie Messier and Rafael Cervo were carded respectively for a rough challenge and delay of game. The Madhatters 06 won the match by a score of 2-1. The Madhatters 06 scorers were, Farquar MacRobie and Philippe-Emmanuel Masse, the lone scorer for the Rangers was Rafael Cervo.
